Teenage years are difficult, enjoyable years. As you grow older you began to see life in a different light:all those stories of childhood began either to make no sense or turn to reality. That curious, innocent nature begins to turn into outright ‘rebellion’.However,It is at this age that one begins to question what stereotypes and even the very extremities of nature;and perhaps rightly so.
No sooner had I turned into my teenage years than my apparently rebellious self caught up with me[well,I’m not yet completely out of the woods yet either.]My mother who happens to be a devoted Christian would always go hard on us to go to church. When I was much younger,I would just skip alongside her pulling down on her hand as we walked to church, but that was changing. I was beginning to ask questions. Why do I always have to put my smartest clothes on one day in the whole week just to sit down for hours on end just listening to some unending sermon?
Life, as I have realized is a matter of self realization. After all, no one teaches us while in our mother’s wombs to anticipate what to expect when we are delivered into this world. After it is a small world since our experiences are shared regardless of race, gender, origin or social class. We all experiences the same emotional tremors, only that the occur in different circumstances based on one’s environment. What we feel, what we undergo and consequently what we experience leaves a footprint in our conscience which in turn creates an outcome expressed in the physical realm that is our bodies.
However, that begs us to ask the big question; What is the source of all this?Is it all by circumstance that we find ourselves alive? And what is the fabric that holds all existence of life in whatever form it may manifest itself?Well, finding these answers in the physical understanding only deepens the mystery since our physical selves can only cover the scope of our five senses. There is that we cannot see, smell, feel, touch, taste or hear. Its the seemingly eerie unperceived existence that is so close yet so far away.So diminutive yet so significant. We tend to take care of our physical, emotional and social selves but we ignore the most important part, the spiritual part which is what leaves the rest of our composition pieced together harmoniously.

In a nutshell, life gains its purpose if we can connect to whats beyond our five senses. Its who at we have chosen to call our sixth sense. If harnessed it has the power to manipulate whats with and within us and create a perfect balance of the physical, emotional and social selves. Its not all about cramming Bible or Quran verses and saying them out ad libitum. Spirituality is the connection that our lives must have and it what makes us human. After all, the physical, emotional and social compositions are common for everything else that has life, but its our ability to establish a strong spiritual connection with ourselves and our Deity that has made us so successful in our own way,
