4 months of silence.

When I decided to commit fully to writing on this blog, I never thought I’d go so long without sharing anything here.

Working on this blog has challenged my consistency, something which I believe has been instrumental for my personal and professional growth. But sometimes, life comes in a torrent which can throw you off course from your goals and ambitions, which can still be for a good cause.

That said, the past four months have also been a fulfilling chapter of my life, where I have challenged myself to explore greater frontiers and dared myself to dream a little bigger. I have found myself in a space that has challenged my ambition to set myself up for an impactful future.

I have had a vision for as long as I can remember. A vision to not only make the most out of myself and the life that I have, but to also leave a positive wake as I do so. A vision to use my voice as a force for good and as a tool of critique on society’s most pressing issues. A vision to be an advocate for my community, my country, my continent and for humanity at large.

It is through this vision that the idea for this Superficially Exaggerated was born some six years ago. As each year passes, the vision is reimagined, and the blog morphs and takes shape as I hope to grow it out and establish it.

Now that the not-so-brief hiatus is over, I bring a fresh, burning desire to do more on this blog. To be more unreserved and unapologetic in talking about the truth of society across various frontiers – political, social and everything in between. I’ve got tons more content ideas, a lot more topics to talk about and, hopefully, even a larger audience to reach.

So hop on and strap on and let’s get this show on the road!
